Amidst the crazy times we are all currently living thorough, we find nothing more comforting or inspiring than fellow small business owners, especially those whose sole purpose is giving back. Enter a Curated Bazaar. During the uncertainty surrounding what is now our {temporary} new normal, we have been more conscientious when it comes to purchases, however, when we know that the proceeds will benefit so many we of course are happy to partake. We adore all of the cheery prints but of course are partial to the patterned blue dresses.
Founder of Curated Bazar, Filipa De Abreu, (also the design consultant for Tory Burch), has long been on our radar due to her playful yet chic style. Though we have to admit, we only recently discovered Curated Bazaar but we immediately wanted to get the message out.
We pulled the excerpt below directly from their site to give insight as to what they are about and the cause they back by producing their pieces.
“We buy market available fabrics and prints locally sourced in Jaipur and work with small production tailors in both Jaipur and the surrounding villages. We are NOT about fashion, we are NOT a brand, in fact we only make one collection a year. We have day jobs elsewhere, families to raise and friendships to nurture. We do have however a sense of duty to help others less fortunate than ourselves, thus “The Curated” was born. We love what we do, and somehow try to make a small difference while doing it. We are NOT a charity nor are we affiliated to any. We are NOT professionals at this, nor do we have any misconceptions about our abilities. We do however have good will and enthusiasm.”
Visit their website here to see their beautiful pieces and to find out more about their initiative and as always let us know your thoughts in the comments!
