When styling an entry hall, there are several items we always incorporate on the piece of furniture in the entry that is the focal point. These items include coffee table books, picture frames, trays, heirloom pieces, candles and of course, lighting. A few additional pieces that can be included are candles, cache pots and tassels.
In order to create dimension, we add layers by stacking in coffee table books and picture frames next to taller items such as a table lamp or two.
Our favorite items to style an entry table with are the accessories. The accessories, as with any other space in the home, are where you can get the most creative. We love to mix and match our silver pieces and pair with colorful Herend figurines or books to create a colorful vignette. Another way to incorporate color is by adding in collectible boxes such as malachite pieces or Louis Sherry boxes. Louis Sherry has a multitude of colorful box designs that are darling to set out with little mints when the chocolates inside have run out.
By mixing traditional pieces like silver with items such as colorful coffee table books, not only does it tailor a space to your personality but also creates a less formal atmosphere and instantly becomes more inviting. We always say a well styled home is a mix of old and new. Our heirloom pieces remain in places we will see them most because they hold significance. Each Herend piece for example has a story or meaning behind it so we like to display them in places where they will be seen.
