Sometimes you can discover new inspiration in the unlikeliest of places. This was the case for us as we were catching up on the current season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. We love all of the ladies and the undeniable entertainment that they provide us, however, we just so happened to fall in love with the newcomer – the witty and effortlessly fashionable Kathy Hilton.
We had seen glimpses of Hilton’s home from what she has shared on Instagram, so we were well-aware of our shared love for Gracie wallcoverings and D. Porthault linens, but being taken further into her lavish Bel Air home via the Housewives’ cameras was fabulous.
Built in the 1930’s, Hilton’s home features a black and white checked marble adorned foyer, leading to a beautiful sitting room which Hilton calls her sanctuary. Her family home is filled with original artwork and touches of blue and white throughout. In addition to her Hampton Garden Gracie wallcoverings, we spotted a few more of our favorite things including her Brunschwig and Fils Les Touches pillows.
With the graceful way she carried herself on the show, it’s no surprise that every aspect of Hilton’s home is elegant and timeless. Although the predominant theme remains traditional, she managed to successfully keep the aesthetic fresh by mixing modern pieces in sparingly, as well as a few contemporary art pieces. Additionally, from the glimpses we have seen, the home includes a meticulously curated collection of different furniture styles ranging from Hollywood Regency to Neoclassical pieces mixed together to create a wonderfully collected design.
Hilton’s home is a perfectly curated reflection of her personality: elegant, stylish and traditional but with a touch of playfulness. See our selection of Kathy Hilton-inspired pieces below.
