Sometimes we come across images of spaces that stop us in our tracks {or in our Instagram feed} and this nursery designed by Dina Bandman for the 2018 San Francisco Decorator Showcase did just that.
We love a bold design choice and find that children’s rooms tend to be the very best place to take a risk. Hear us out: while not the most economical, it is always a safe assumption that children will want to change the design of their room at some point, so why not take full advantage and design their nursery exactly how you would dream it to be? This nursery was completely built around the hand painted and beaded de Gournay wallpaper and it could not be more perfect.
The mix of classic and modern design elements make the room that much more special, including the acrylic crib and picture-perfect treillage ceiling. No detail was spared, from the Samuel & Sons tassel trim on the matching lemon curtains to the gingham backed closet shelves.
We would be remiss to leave out the mention of the sweet accessories such the plush animals, specifically the Les Lalanne-inspired sheep. As we mentioned above, the mix of styles in the room creates a well-thought out design that is completely unique. While many of the pieces in the room are custom, such as the crib and ceiling fixture, we sourced items that look almost identical as well as many items inspired by this space.
